FAQs

Q: Do I have to be a member of the gym to schedule an appointment?
A: Appointments are open to non-members!

Q:
Do I need to bring anything?
A: On your first visit, you’ll need to bring your physician referral or prescription (if needed), your insurance card, your primary registration forms, your ID or driver’s license and your co-payment (as applicable). If desired, you may bring a change of clothing.

Q: How long will my visit take?
A: On average, a patient’s first visit lasts about an hour. We typically ask patients to arrive 15 minutes early to complete sign-in, registration and/or change clothes

Q: What should I wear?
A: We recommend that you wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes—something you can exercise in.

Q: How can I make an appointment?
A: The easiest way is to fill out the contact form located on this page!

Q: What should I expect at my PT visits?
A: During your first visit, your physical therapist will examine you and discuss your symptoms with you. The therapist uses this information to work with you to set goals for your treatment, which will likely include increased or improved movement, along with increased strength, endurance, and flexibility, and decreased pain, if applicable. Your subsequent visits will focus on treatment, based on your diagnosis. Your treatment may include exercise; manual therapy (a hands-on technique used to decrease pain and increase range of motion); modalities such as electrical stimulation, moist heat, or ice; and patient education, including a home exercise program.

Q: What are physical therapist?
A: Physical therapists (PTs) are highly-educated, licensed health care professionals who may help patients reduce pain, and improve or re-store mobility, in many cases without expensive surgery and often reducing the need for long-term use of prescription medications. In addition, PTs work with individuals to prevent the loss of mobility before it occurs by developing fitness and wellness oriented programs for healthier and more active lifestyles.

What:

  • The Goal: To help individuals fully recovery from whatever their setback may be; whether it be an old injury that hasn’t fully healed, chronic pain, post – surgical conditions, etc.
  • Often times, CrossFit gets a bad reputation for high risk of injury. However, our bodies are resilient, durable, and are made to move. So how and why do injuries happen? It’s not the movements to blame as it is the underlying weaknesses/physical asymmetries. That’s where physical therapy can step in and help!
  • Through corrective exercises, manual therapy techniques and activity modification, physical therapy provides you with the ability to actively recovery while progressing towards pain free, prior level of function.
